"My name is Anna Stout and I'm the CEO at Roice-Hurst Human Society. I am definitely an animal person because I work at the animal shelter, but I am very deeply a people person. What makes this work meaningful is knowing not only are we caring for animals that are in very vulnerable situations, but we're also improving the quality of life in our community. One of the exercises we do with our team here is identifying our values. We call them our non-negotiables. For me, all of my non-negotiables are met here. One of my most important non-negotiables is legacy. And we get to do that every single day with the programs that we have here. We're creating something that will leave a legacy."
