Brian O'Malley, Senior EHS Manager at Metro Water Recovery

"I always thought I'd be a teacher, or maybe a nurse. You have that one-on-one connection, you're helping people. But the way my role has developed here and what Metro has provided me, you know, it kind of hits those check boxes of what nursing or being a teacher or a coach would do. There's a lot of flexibility to go out there and engage with employees. The overarching goal is interacting with employees and making sure that you're in a supportive role and supporting them out in the field. So I really like the position I'm in. I get to know the employees, talk about their jobs, and talk about what could make their jobs better. Even though some of that work can't be measured, ultimately it makes for a better, safer work environment."
