“My name is Sara Galenbeck and I am a Patron Experience Ambassador at the Jefferson County Libraries. I travel between all 10 locations of the libraries, providing customer service when locations are short-staffed. My job allows me to help patrons discover new books and find many things they are looking for and some they were not. A bonus to being able to travel between the different locations is the opportunity to help a variety of different populations with a variety of different skill sets.”
“When I work the call center, I receive many calls from older adults who are homebound and need help ordering books to be delivered to them. At Standley Lake, I learn so much about the popular children’s series and whether the books I read as a child are still popular. In Lakewood, we provide so much help on the computers and are able to help patrons learn how to navigate the world of ebooks and audiobooks.”
